Identity and Website Design for Construction Technology Startup
Vuit is a Vancouver startup aiming to revolutionize the construction industry. Using cutting-edge laser technology, they are able to capture and virtually map any space, acquiring accurate measuring data and allowing their clients to tour the site or import it into AutoCAD.
We were tasked with creating a stand-out identity, name, and website that would set them apart from other technology startups, while still fitting in with their target audience of engineers, architects, and construction companies.
What we did.
- Brand Identity
- Logo Design
- Marketing Materials
- Graphical Assets
- Website Design & Development
To fully understand the needs of Vuit we immersed ourselves in the company, learning everything we could about the new technology and its applications. We conducted interviews with staff, spoke to target users, and went out on jobs with the team, recording processes and gaining a thorough understanding of the product.
Our creative strategy was informed deeply by our research and was focused on bridging the gap between technology startup and engineering company. The chosen identity encapsulates the product with the feeling of space, while brand assets reflect aspects of technical drawings and invoke precision.
Due to the diverse applications of the service, the final imagery was chosen to showcase the product in use across a variety of industries. This was reflected throughout all channels and marketing materials, maintaining brand consistency.
Vuit Project Dashboard
The website development was split into two parts – the front facing brand site, and a gated login area for clients to store all of their projects.
This area allows Vuit to create user profiles for each of their clients where they will upload project data and virtual walkthroughs for their clients to access and download.
Usability here was key and, based on our research, the experience was designed primarily with tablets in mind.
