Website and Campaign Design for Nationwide Recycling Not-for-Profit

Product Care Recycling provide recycling services across North America, serving the needs of individual consumers, industry members and service partners.

Their existing model was separated into three different brands, each targeted at one specific user group. Our challenge was to combine the brands and develop a website that served the needs of all users, while creating an effective design system that could be applied across all channels by their internal marketing team.

Following a series of workshops and sessions with key stakeholders across every aspect of the business, we began developing a design system that could be applied throughout all collateral. From depot signage and transit campaigns, to internal communications and reports, each element of the brand serves a purpose and is immediately recognizable on its own and within the wider system.

Our research highlighted the need for the website to focus on consumers, with the primary purpose being to assist users in finding a recycling location in their area. As such the depot finder was the most important aspect of this project. It needed to be simple, easy to use, and responsive across every possible device and browser. We took direction from familiar experiences around the web to create a platform that was intuitive and effective.

Creating the Depot Finder

The depot finder was designed to create a familiar browsing experience for users, making it as simple and easy to use as possible. Consistency in the new approach to way-finding means that users can navigate their goals effectively and efficiently.

Member Dashboard

With combining the brands, the industry focused section of the website needed to stand out as separate from the consumer facing side. The biggest challenge here was condensing a huge amount of information into a simple platform that allowed users to quickly access their required information. We approached this with the development of a resources dashboard which incorporated a stripped back application of the new design system along with an intuitive search filter.
