The Salt Spring National Art Prize (SSNAP) is a biennial competition and exhibition of Canadian contemporary art. Due to COVID 19 the SSNAP society wanted to take the exhibition online, allowing it to continue to reach a wide audience and expand across Canada.
One of the biggest challenges of the website was creating a gallery experience in a digital world. We wanted to capture the feeling of arriving on Salt Spring — setting the scene, then entering the gallery — and foster organic discovery and exploration of the artworks.
