Web Design
Connect is an online learning platform for Pre-K to Grade 8 created by The Indigenous Zero Waste Technical Advisory Group (IZWTAG). The aim of the platform is to teach zero waste practices in a remote learning setting. We worked closely with the IZWTAG team in addition to designer Jeremy Ambers to create the identity.
Illustrations and icons were created by Jeremy Ambers of Potlatch Design Co., an Indigenous-owned and operated graphic design studio.
Targeting such a young audience meant that that the site had to be simple, yet engaging. We balanced animation, illustration and colour to create an experience that immediately catches the eye.
User testing formed a large part of the design process, with each iteration tested and revised based on the results and findings.
